We are looking to recruit a Veterans Family Coach working on our Family Matters project. Funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund and working closely with CLEAR the Veterans Family Coach will be the catalyst for positive change as they work alongside armed forces personnel, service leavers and their families. The Veterans Family Coach will support the individual and their family to become more integrated in their community, overcome barriers to constructive family life and develop resilience and emotional wellbeing. The Social Prescribing Scheme is an innovative and key addition to support GP’s and health services. Working closely with the Health Care Team and patients you will support patients to become more integrated and connected to their local community, reducing isolation, breaking down barriers and boosting quality of life. The Social Prescribing Scheme is funded by The Department of Health, Cornwall Council and coordinated by Volunteer Cornwall. Our Positive People team wouldn’t be complete without a Veteran Specialist One to One Change Coach. The postholder will predominantly work with ex forces personnel to deliver 1:1 support as they assess needs and develop individually tailored support packages to enable participants to become more socially included and enter training, education and/or employment. They will work closely alongside a wider team of Change Coaches delivering positive and lasting change for people in Cornwall.
