When Christopher Brightey joined the Who Dares Works project, he was lacking in confidence, self-belief and motivation. With the prospect of finding employment in the distant future, Christopher worked with his mentor on a plan to help him to become work ready.

Christopher attended a variety of sessions aimed at increasing confidence, teamwork skills and motivation as well as exploring the different potential work avenues. He began volunteering with Connecting Penzance, something he enjoyed as it enabled him to give something back to the community and was a great step forward for his confidence.

Less than 18 months after joining the project, Christopher was independently job searching and carried on volunteering for the Connecting Penzance project.

Of the project, Christopher said,

“Who Dares Works has helped me find my confidence and improve my teamwork skills. The Who Dares Works partners have changed my life and they will change other people’s lives too. Thanks to Who Dares Works and Active Plus for everything you have done and best wishes to the future of the project and thank you!

Christopher has since gained employment and is extremely happy to be where he is.
