Well, Flora Day didn’t disappoint. A brilliant day of music, dance, sun, meeting new people and seeing some familiar faces. Oh and we got to spread the word about the wonderful support on offer with Who Dares Works!
Sun, fun, dancing and lots of people to talk to!
What a fab day we had at Helston Flora Day. Great to meet up with lots of previous WDW participants and hear about all the exciting things they’re doing. Also good to meet potential participants, partners and other organisations supporting people in the community.
Great to be joined by one of the driving forces behind the Armed Forces Community Social Prescribing initiative as we delivered a joint brief about the aims, benefits and outcomes being achieved through this demonstrator programme.
Thank you to Raf St Mawgan for hosting the VAPC led symposium, which provided a great opportunity to talk to, and meet like minded organisations and update the Independent Veterans Advisor about the great AFC support being delivered in Cornwall.
We were delighted to have the opportunity to brief the Government’s Independent Veterans’ Advisor about the opportunities we provide for Military Veterans to help themselves by helping others and the support we are providing to people, communities and businesses across Cornwall.
A big shout out to Hidden Help for providing furniture and other household items for one of our Positive People Cornwall participants. Great to be working in partnership and helping people break down the barriers to living the life they want.
