Active Plus military veterans from across Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset came together to deliver 2 days of life skills development with over 100 year 7 pupils at St Joseph’s School in Salisbury. Within the interactive practical exercises and classroom based activities we were able to cover 6 key themes that the school had identified as important to them: respect, positivity, resilience, confidence, communication and ambition.
Head teacher, Rachel Ridley said that the 2 days had made a big impression on the pupils and will help them to achieve their full potential. We’re looking forward to going back to the School in January 2016 for a follow-up event and are excited at the potential to develop an on-going programme once all the feedback from teachers and students has been considered
