The Active Plus Communities Groups in St. Austell and Camborne are busy preparing for events to support the MacMillan Cancer charity by linking into the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning. The group in St. Austell have arranged a BBQ and Fun Day on 23 September at Prince Charles House from 10am to 4pm. They are organising a raffle, stalls, activities and food and have been out and about in their community securing support and donations.
In Camborne, the group are linking into the Coffee Morning at Veor House on 25 September from 10am. One of the group is showing the others how to make gift bags and they are busy crafting and caking for their stall. The group say that this will be good preparation for the craft fair that they want to run at the Gooseberry Bush Nursery in Camborne before Christmas, again in aid of charity. It’s brilliant to see people who only met a few weeks ago working as a team to help their community.
