Who we are looking for
Since 2011, Active Plus has achieved steady financial and geographic growth and has expanded the delivery model to new participant groups. We have a five-year business plan with clear strategic objectives and have the opportunity to expand further. We are therefore also looking to further expand the skills and experience within our Board of Directors.
We are seeking Directors to agree and challenge our strategic direction, maintain high standards of governance and oversight; and provide expert advice and support to the Company. In particular, we are seeking Directors with finance and/or human resources experience.
As a Director you would actively contribute to the Board of Active Plus Community Interest Company, with:
- A commitment to our vision and mission
- Integrity, strategic vision and independent judgement
- An ability to take impartial decisions on behalf of the organisation
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills, tact and diplomacy
- In addition, each member should use any specific skills, knowledge or experience they have to help the Board reach sound decisions.
Directors will be expected to attend quarterly Board meetings in Truro; dates are set annually.
