Our Armed Forcers Community Social Prescribing Link Workers have been helping Surgeries to become Veteran Friendly accredited. The number of accredited surgeries is increasing all the time and we are delighted that Roche surgery have joined their partners Brannel, Probus and Roseland to become the first Veteran friendly accredited Primary Care Network in Cornwall.
Our Link Workers are supporting GP’s, the wider Social Prescription Link Worker network and the Armed Forces Community. They are providing information, advice, guidance and training, helping people to better understand the needs and support available to members of the Armed Forces Community.
They are connecting support organisations and making sure that veterans, their partners, families and carers are getting the right support at the right time.
We’ll be presenting the story so far to the Independent Veterans Advisor during his visit to Cornwall later this month.
