Feedback from Plymouth Community Homes Customers
We know the courses we deliver at Active Plus are great, but nothing speaks louder – or more authentically – than the words of the participants themselves.
Last week our Veteran Instructors, Pete and Rob, delivered the final course session for the customers of Plymouth Community Homes, and marked the success of those attending with a celebratory presentation. They were also lucky enough to be joined by Jay from Plymouth Community Homes, who kindly presented each participant with their personalised, much-deserved Active Plus certificates.
Throughout the course, the participants engaged with a range of activities designed to challenge perspective, build confidence, break down barriers, and develop communication and teamwork skills. It is no surprise that many of our participants join the courses reticently as they are not sure what to expect. BUT, the reality never disappoints and it soon becomes clear that the positive outcomes far outweigh any reservations; initial fears are soon dissipated!
So much so, in fact, that top marks of 5/5 were given by all, across the board as responses to questions; ‘Did you enjoy the course?’, ‘How would you rate the training and Instructors?’ and ‘Did you enjoy working as a group?’ and all said they were leaving with a different, more positive outlook, enhanced communication, teamwork , leadership, listening skills, assertiveness, higher levels of tolerance and motivation, and an overall sense of achievement! Most importantly, after completing the course, all left with improved self-esteem and confidence; they were happier.
We cannot stress enough the vital role of our Veteran Instructors, and the skills and experience they bring to each session. Each course is differentiated to suit the needs of the participants. It is therefore rewarding when they provide feedback such as:
“Pete and Rob were brilliant, I liked how they gave us clues, but they never solved it for us.”
“The instructors are very professional and take time to listen to students on the course, whilst making the course enjoyable”.
“The instructors made course enjoyable, good banter and helped see things differently”.
Perhaps one of the comments we receive most frequently is,
“I wish the course was longer as I really enjoyed it”
That one speaks volumes!
The proof, of course, is often in the way our participants would explain the Active Plus course to others. Here is what this particular group of participants said:

Our Favourite, perhaps? “Have a go, cos you will like it”!
